The more we learn the more interesting things become.  This is a maxim that has guided my career in education for nearly 30 years and more recently as a qualified Tourist Guide.  The characters that populate Chester’s history provide us with an extraordinarily rich mixture of tragedy and comedy; good and evil; love and hate; cruelty and tenderness.  The traces left behind by all this have given Chester its deeply layered and diverse heritage.  I would love to share this with you in one of my tours and add colour to your visit.
